Average American 2022 Christmas Expernditure

According to data provided by the national retail federation (nrf), americans plan to spend roughly $998 on gifts, food, and decorations in 2021, the same amount that they planned to spend in 2020. One in five american adults plan to spend at least 30% less on average this christmas. The percentage of people buying gifts is set to drop to 89%, an 8% decrease from last year’s 97%.
